Treasured Weekend

In celebration of the DVD release of National Treasure Two we had a treasured weekend. I ended up being sick most of the weekend so it wasn't quite as exciting as I had envisioned it as I stood at Wal-mart making my purchase, but it turned out okay.
Saturday we went to see my dad's grave and my grandparents and great grandparents as well as D's grandparents. Driving around took up most of the day, but we did come across a pond with a swan family in it and the kids loved that!
Mama swan was a little protective and hissed at L when he came too close, but he did not care. He ran around yelling Duckie! and Quack Quack!
The rest of the weekend was spent watching National Treasure One and Two. Going on a drive up in the Uintas. Our usual pass by Mirror lake was closed so we went over Wolf Creek instead.
And yes, it did start snowing on us at the top. Man they still have a ton of snow up there. But it is so pretty. Utah rocks for "National Treasures"
My treasure for the weekend was that D cooked all three nights. (Well one night he ordered pizza with a gift card his sister sent him. Thanks E!) But he did Benihanna night with yummy shrimp fried rice. The other night we got ribs and home made fries!
The one thing that didn't quite turn out is that I wanted to take the kids on a treasure hunt of their own, but with me not feeling well and C not being very obedient, that went bust. D managed to do one of his own and took L and M to Jamba Juice, making M tell him the way to go. He says they went a fairly round about way, but she had a great time. And they brought home my favorite...Pomegranate Heart Defender with an Immunity Boost. Now that was a treasure!

Nice job on the word count goal!! As for your old book, "And the Sky Full of Stars" - how is it doing with the potential publishers? What is it about and what is your new one about?
