Oooo, I wanna be like you!!!

So for those of you who don't know, I live in the perfect neighborhood. (Yes, all my neighbors you are perfect). At times it can be a little overwhelming. Everyone is skinny. (I'm not.) They all run marathons. (I can't run down the street after my kids without getting winded.) They have clean houses. (I live in fear of someone showing up unannounced between the hours of say 8 am and 11:30 pm) They all are stylish and cute. (I live in PJ's) and they all are wonderful moms who do fun activities with their kids (My kids think fun is a box of crayons and blank paper). So yes, to all you perfect moms out there, I say thank you. I wanna be like you!
May 1st is my new begginings. I have spent the last week cleaning, dejunking the kids toys and clothes closet, folding the mound of laundry that was my washroom floor, having freeflowing cherry coke and donuts, all in preperation for this day. So my may goals are to...Pick up after the kids immediatly. Get up in the morning and excercise before I write. Spend at least 1 hour with each kid doing something fun for them. Try to get dressed and ready for the day before 9 am at least 4 days a week (I don't want to stretch myself too far!!!) And hopefully with a whole neighborhoodful of good examples I can try to be a better balanced person. So we will see, but so far so good. I did workout this morning (Still in my workout clothes, so this will be one of my scrounge days!) Oh and I am trying to give up coke, so if I am grumpy for say the next year or two, please understand!!!

Yes, it's nice to know that I'm perfect and everyone wants to be like me. Perfect. Who every came up with a word like that anyway, and what narcissistic fool think such a state of being really exists or that they live in it. ;)

I think you also forgot about me when you wrote this! I'm definitely fatter, my house is definitely dirtier and I'm pretty sure I'm a more boring mom. When do you ever see cute slide shows on my blog about all the fun stuff I do? Oh never? Yeah, pretty much. I get winded just thinking about running down the street after my kids!!! :-D

I definitely look up to you in a lot of ways and want to be more like you! You are one of the many fabulous neighbors in this neighborhood! Good luck with your new goals. :-)

Include yourself as part of what makes our neighborhood so great! I wish I had a talent like yours that I could devour myself into. You also spend a load of time preparing for your sweet sunbeams! I don't run marathons and I spend a lot of days in PJ's too. I don't throw fabulous soccer parties like you do :) Love your fresh start attitude.

My neighbors seem to think their front yards are their front room. They are more or less always outside, sipping beer, hanging out in their driveway. I'll trade you neighbors!

Dear Nawanda,

I respect you and wish you success in this endeavor. As you might say (or quote) "Gotta do more, gotta be more!" (Insert very bad saxaphone playing here...) Such efforts will only make a great person even happier. In the meantime, I'll wager I'm fatter than you at 36 weeks along...

Love your former "kulang sang bayo" sister :)

You are crazy to give up your diet coke! I live on mountain dew!! How else do you think I pull off the whole super perfect thing ;)! I love you tons and think you are pretty amazing as is! And just so you know...marathons kind of suck (it's the getting there that rocks for me :)! It's all about the journey right!
