What a day!
It was a day like any other day..well, not exactly, maybe like any other day for the past month. I dragged myself out of bed just in time to get M off to school, looked at dishes in the sink, the growing pile of laundry on the floor, tripped over the toys that littered the house, attempted to clean, got tired sat down, fell asleep allowing the kids to destroy more of the house. My dear friend in an attempt to cheer the black clouds that have been forming for the last month goes out of her way to drive to Sonic to get me a cherry coke. They mess up and give her a strawberry coke. Yuck! But at least it makes me laugh once in the day. Finally after hours of waiting, the doctor finally called. The good news, I am not just a lazy slob. The bad news, not only is my thyroid out of balance, but I also have diabetes. And then as I am trying to digest this and learning just how hard cutting not just sugar, but all carbs down is, I get a rejection letter on my partial. It was not a good day. Oh well, C'est La Vie! At least I have great family and friends. Thanks to all of you who have been there!

But at least you maybe, sort of, kind of, possible have found a home. That helps a little doesn't it, maybe, if your eally did find a home, that is. But wait...then that means you're leaving me... Man, the day has sucked!
Hey maybe the strawberries in the cherry coke actully were more healthy than if you had a cherry cherry coke??? Who knows. Keep smiling. (Gosh you're up late posting)

Dang Sonic..there is nothing more disappointing than taking a big swig and realizing you've been given the wrong drink!
Oh my friend...I didn't even know you were not feeling good...I am sorry! All of that does sound pretty sucky...I guess maybe the strawberry coke was a blessing in disquise (sp). No more sugar for you....dang! I hope you get feeling much much better soon...please let me know if there is anything I can help with from the land down under.

So sorry about your health news. I had gestational diabetes in one of my pregnancies, and there is a ton of it that runs in Kirk's famiy. I know how hard it can be to watch the carbs. You'll get the hang of it in no time though and it WILL make you feel better. You'll feel like a new person! Good luck and let me know if you need anything!
The thyroid being out of balance, causes sooooo many problems! I am so glad you got checked out, and they figured the issue. Are you hyper or hypothyroid? Good luck! The meds kick in quick and make a HUGE difference!!!
oh dear... that is too bad about health problems... i'm sorry. once you get it all figured out hopefully you will start feeling better... we really should get together soon.
